EDUCATION CONSULTANCY SPECIALISATIONS
REO A-WAHA ORAL LANGUAGE
Oral language skills are the foundation of all learning and I work with teachers and leaders to review, build on and grow explicit, visible and effective practice that leverages the cultural and linguistic diversity of our communities.
With oral language at it roots, literacy will grow. I support schools to develop evidenced based balance literacy programmes using a variety of tools.
I work with schools to support and acknowledge Te Tiriti o Waitangi as the set of principles that underpin the NZ Curriculum and I work with school communities to indigenise the education system through Kaupapa Māori. I support school leaders to critically reflect on the imbalance of power and resources in Aotearoa and work to grow my critical consciousness and that of those around me.
ASSESSMENT FOR LEARNING
I can work with your school or Kāhui Ako to build and grow the knowledge and skills needed to get the most out of your assessment information. This work is an important element that accelerates learning, supports wellbeing and allows schools to build effective local curriculum design.
LOCALISED CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT
I work with schools to create a personalised response to the NZC (2007). Through review, evaluation, collection of voice and consultation, schools can develop an authentic curriculum that reflects the vision, values and strategic plans of the whole community.
I work with school to scope out, develop and implement effective and practical digital fluency systems and process across schools.
